Introduction

Here at K Bar S Farms, we are a small farm in a rural community. We are a past firefighter and military Veteran. We raise Nigerian Dwarf goats as well as Mini Toggenbergs. Our Nigerian goats are registered with the American Dairy Goat Association and American Goat Society, as well as MDGA. We register our Mini Toggenbergs with MDGA. We have a big surprise coming for 2026. We will be getting a Toggenburg or two. Our goal is to produce Mini-Toggenburgs with the best in dam and sire, and to have great milk genetics.

With the introduction of a Birch Haven togg. Doris Gronewold's goal has been to establish a mid-sized line of Registered toggenburgs capable of producing 3000 #'s of milk a year with at least 3.6% butterfat and 3% protien. The levels of the Alpha S1 Casein run F/F to A/F, "A" being the highest level valued in the dairies because of it's higher butterfat and protien levels. The cheese yeild is much higher from this milk, and thus more valuable. The F/F line is beneficial for those who have milk allergies. She produced longer lactations, does producing more milk on less feed, as well as lines that promote longevity. Doris has been breeding and working with the Toggenburgs line since 1971. We are so very proud to have one of her does now in our program.
